Terri Sanchez, FluteTerri Sanchez

Terri Sanchez was the 1st prize winner of the National Flute Association Orchestral Excerpt Competition and has been a finalist in the Myrna W. Artist Competition and a 2nd prize winner of the Upper Midwest Flute Society Young Artist Competition.

This fall, she will pursue a masters degree in flute performance at Southern Methodist University, studying with Dallas Symphony flutist, Kara Kirkendoll Welch. Ms. Sanchez received her bachelor’s degree in flute performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Terri's Flute Studio

For the past three years, Ms. Sanchez has maintained a flute studio of approximately 75 students from around the DFW metroplex and has had the opportunity to teach flute in both Lewisville ISD and Birdville ISD. Because she will be a full time graduate student at SMU this fall, she will be teaching a much smaller number of dedicated, enthusiastic flute students who are excited about working hard and constantly striving to take their flute playing skills and musicianship to the next level. If you are interested in reserving one of her few remaining lesson spots for the 2008/2009 school year or signing up for her waiting list, please contact Ms. Sanchez at terri@terriflute.com.
