Teaching Philosophy
To become an excellent flutist, a student must invest time, energy and a positive attitude into practice, score study, flute lessons and performances.  It is the teacher's responsibility to encourage, motivate, educate and guide the student, while it is the student's responsibility to ask questions, try even when it's hard and trust that the work is worth it. Both teacher and student must be patient and willing to take the journey one step at a time with a spirit of flexibility, curiosity and enthusiasm.
